Have your files been encrypted by the "WannaCrypt" ransomware? You may be able to recover

If you've been hit by the "WannaCrypt"/"WannaCry"/WannaDecrypter" virus, do not turn off your computer or attempt to close the ransomware! Security researcher Benjamin Delpy has developed a program that can help you recover your files. Unfortunately, the developer claims this program only works with Windows XP and Windows 7.

How it works:

This virus encrypts your files, that means that the data is scrambled and unreadable. In order to decrypt your files, you need the decryption key. This program attempts to find your decryption key in your computer's RAM. If you don't know what RAM is, it's like short term memory - it holds all of your open programs.

If you would like to download this program, you can download it here: https://github.com/gentilkiwi/wanakiwi/releases.
