Microsoft is working on a new version of Windows 10. This version of Windows, titled 'Windows 10 S' is similar to other Windows 10 editions except it cannot run apps that are not preinstalled or on the store. Advantages to this include better security, easier app installation and improved performance and batter life as the UWP apps, which makes up the majority of the Store are better optimised than many Win32 apps and have to be checked by Microsoft before they are made available on the store. Of course, the main disadvantage with this edition of Windows 10 is that you can't download a lot of the great software that does not exist on the store, such as Google Chrome and Visual Studio. This edition of Windows 10 is preinstalled on Microsoft's new Surface Laptop. What do you think of this edition of Windows 10? Do you think it seems more like a tablet-oriented OS? Do you prefer the security of reliability of approved Windows Store apps? Tell us in the comments!
