Microsoft realised the tablet devices were becoming more and more popular, so they released Windows 8 with a new experience for tablets, the problem with Windows 8 was that it was a mix between a touch interface and desktop interface, making it bad for both desktop (when running Store apps) and bad for tablets (when running desktop programs). Microsoft fixed all of this with Windows 10 and made it free for Windows 8 users.
Windows 10 now combines apps and programs to either work well on desktops or tablets. To optimise Windows 10 for a tablet, all you need to do as activate tablet mode. This mode will make all apps, including desktop apps/programs full screen and un-restore-able. It also optimises the taskbar quite well and allows touch gestures to work. You can still multitask in this mode by dragging the app title bar to the left or right of the screen, which will bring up a list of all avalible apps to place next to the current one. By now you're probably wondering how to turn on Tablet Mode; I'll change that right now, on most tablets, it should be on by default, to check, just open the Action Centre (By clicking the little notification icon at the end of your taskbar:
) If Tablet Mode is highlghte, it's already on, if not, just tap it. Tablet mode settings can be found in Settings > System > Tablet Mode.
